7 Free Online Fax Services To Send free faxes online from your computer or receive faxes by email for free

You can send free faxes from your computer and get free faxes by email.

Faxing may seem like an old method of communication, but many businesses still use it. You don’t need to buy a fax machine or a fax modem for your computer, though. Free online fax services let you send and receive faxes from your computer and email.

1. FaxZero

With FaxZero, you can send a fax for free anywhere in the U.S., Canada, and many other places around the world. You can either upload a document or PDF file or type the text you want to send as a fax. There is no way to receive faxes, though.

There is an ad on the cover page of the free service, and you can only send up to three pages and up to five free faxes per day. If you need to send more than three pages, you can send a fax with up to 25 pages and priority delivery for $2.09. The Better Business Bureau has signed off on this service.

2. GotFreeFax

GotFreeFax is a good choice if you don’t want ads on your cover page. GotFreeFax doesn’t put ads on the cover pages of its free faxes and doesn’t brand your fax with the GotFreeFax name. You can send faxes to any place in the U.S. or Canada online. As with FaxZero, there is no way to receive faxes.

You can send up to three pages per fax, and you can send two free ones per day. GotFreeFax lets you fax up to 10 pages for 98 cents, 20 pages for $1.98, and 30 pages for $2.98 if you need to send more than three pages. The premium pay-per-fax service uses a secure connection and sends faxes first.

3. FaxBetter Free

FaxBetter Free gives you a toll-free fax number that you can use to send and receive up to 50 pages per month. Whenever you get a fax, you’ll get an email about it. FaxBetter Free lets you store up to 1,000 pages of your faxes on its website so that you can access them online.

But you can’t send faxes with this free number, and the fax-to-email and OCR/searchable fax features are only free for 30 days. When you install the free version, you also agree to get ads in your browser.

If you expect to get a lot of faxes or want to send them in different formats, the FaxBetter Premium account starts at $5.95 per month for up to 500 pages and costs two cents per page after that (although this plan requires you to pay upfront for two years). This plan also comes with unlimited fax storage, fax notifications that can be searched, and no ads.

4. eFax Free 14-Day Trial

During your free trial of eFax, you get a free fax number that you can use to send and receive faxes. You can send and receive faxes through your email program or by logging in to an online faxing portal (the online portal even lets you sign faxes). You can send and receive up to 150 documents during the trial.

Sign up for the Plus plan ($14.13 per month billed annually) or the Pro plan ($16.63 per month billed annually) after your trial period is over to be able to send and receive faxes from your phone using the eFax app. You can also get to all of your faxes through your online portal.

With a Pro or Plus plan, you can change your fax number’s area code and send and receive up to 150 (Plus) or 200 (Pro) pages per month. For either plan, there is a one-time set-up fee of $10.

5. PamFax

Joining PamFax is free, and new users get three free fax pages when they sign up. PamFax can be used on the web, on Windows, on macOS, on the iPhone, on the iPad, and Android.

Once you’ve used up your three free fax pages, you can choose between the PamFax on-demand service (10 cents per page), the Basic plan ($4.37 per month and 10 cents per page), or the Professional plan ($6.58 per month and 7 cents per page).

Both the Basic and Professional plans give you a personal fax number and let you send more than one document on a single fax. This fax service can also be used with Skype. The Professional plan also lets you use Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, and OneDrive.

6. MyFax 14-Day Free Trial

With the free trial of MyFax, you can send and receive faxes to and from more than 40 countries. It works with more file types than other fax services, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and image files. iPhones and other smartphones can use MyFax.

The 14-day free trial of MyFax is followed by monthly plans that start at $10. The terms and conditions for MyFax are very long, so make sure you read them before you sign up.

7. Internet Fax in Microsoft Office

A lot of people don’t know that Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint all come with the ability to send faxes. The Windows Fax driver or Fax Services must be installed and turned on on the computer that is sending the fax in order to use this feature.

Instead of using a paid fax service, you can send fax easily and for free by using Microsoft Office.
